On March 10th, Juniors at Har-Ber High School have the opportunity to take the ACT test. The test is free to all Juniors who wish to take the exam. If a four year college is not the plan for your student, they will also have the opportunity to take the ACCUPLACER (college entrance exam for schools like NWAAC or NTI) or ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) on March 10th.
Wednesday, November 13th, Juniors will receive a packet that explains testing options. Each packet includes three forms that give you options when it comes to testing. If your student has an IEP, 504 plan, or receives ELL supports, you have the option to apply for accommodations on the ACT. The blue form in the packet will give you this option. This form must be returned by December 20th.

On November 18th, 10th and 12th grade students will take the Arkansas Prevention Needs Survey. This survey asks students questions related to health and safety, and it's completely confidential. 10th and 12th grade students received a survey overview form during Advisory; the form gives parents more details about the survey, and it should only be returned if you would like your student to opt out of the survey. All signed forms must be submitted to the front office by Friday, November 15th in order for a student not participate. Forms received after the deadline will not be accepted.
If you have any questions, please contact Aterra Lowe (email@example.com).
