🌟Community Partner Spotlight 🌟
We are thankful for our partnership with UARK Engineering!
Our 3rd graders applied the engineering design process to create paper chains strong enough to hold a weight. We were amazed when one of our Wildcats engineered a chain sturdy enough to hold eight water bottles! 💪
We’re excited to welcome UARK Engineering back for STEAMFEST next Thursday, October 23rd, from 5:30–7:30 PM. Come join the fun and see innovation in action! 🔬✨ #SpringdaleFamily

During enrichment, our 2nd graders explored the physics of parachutes in a hands-on experiment using a wind tunnel! They tested parachutes made from plastic bags vs. coffee filters to see which slowed their “fall” the most.
Students observed how gravity pulls objects down while air resistance pushes up, and they discovered how material, shape, and size affect performance. They compared results, analyzed data, and even improved their designs, just like real engineers! #SpringdaleFamily

5th grade scientists in action! 🌎 During today’s outdoor lab, students investigated how the gravitational force is always directed down toward Earth’s center. We’re thankful for our teachers who make learning hands-on and bring science to life outside the classroom! #SpringdaleFamily

Kindergarten and 1st grade enrichment groups combined art and science this week! Students explored creativity by designing bats using geometric shapes. Then, they became sound scientists by discovering that sound travels in waves and experimenting with vibrations in a hands-on activity using spoons and yarn. 🦇🎶 #SpringdaleFamily

ROAR was fortunate enough to take a trip to the Old Spanish Treasure Cave today. We didn't find the famous lost treasure, but we did learn all about cave formations, the history of Spanish Conquistadors in Arkansas, and panhandled for all sorts of rocks and minerals! Here is a link to all the pictures:

Kindergartners have been learning about creative fluency—the ability to generate lots of ideas! We compared it to popcorn, because our brains can pop with many new ideas just like kernels. To bring this to life, students enjoyed a fun, hands-on activity exploring the science of dancing popcorn kernels🍿 #SpringdaleFamily
