Tomorrow is a food day at Walker! Kona Ice for $4–$7 and World’s Finest Chocolate bars will be available for $1 each. Thank you for your support!

Our Wildcats are excited to begin their Arkansas Game & Fish fishing unit! Fourth graders kicked things off with hands-on fish handling, using the green screen background to model correct and incorrect ways to hold different species. Thank you, AGFC, for supporting outdoor education and student learning. 🎣🐟

We would like to extend our deepest and most sincere gratitude to the Schiemiding Foundation, Inc. of Northwest Arkansas for their incredibly generous $1,000 donation to Walker’s STEM Sustainability Fund. This meaningful gift will have a lasting impact on our students by allowing us to purchase essential supplies that enrich learning experiences and strengthen the integration of hands-on STEM and sustainability concepts. We are truly grateful for the foundation’s continued support of our students, our teachers, and the future of innovative education at Walker. #SpringdaleFamily

We are excited to partner with the Civil Air Patrol! Through this partnership, each Walker Wildcat will receive a take-home STEM kit to explore at home. Each grade level has a unique kit designed to spark curiosity and hands-on learning. Our 1st graders began exploring their STEM kits today—be on the lookout for a STEM kit coming home soon! These activities support aerospace education by integrating science, technology, engineering, and math concepts such as problem-solving, design, and real-world applications. In the Wonder Lab, students will also be learning about aerospace careers and the NASA Artemis II mission, which is tentatively scheduled to launch in early February 2026. 🚀 #SpringdaleFamily

We extend a big, heartfelt THANK YOU to Harps Foods for their continued partnership with Springdale Public Schools. Each year, Harps generously provides our schools with gift cards that help create meaningful learning opportunities for our students. Thanks to their support, several of our 5th graders went above and beyond by completing a math extension for Fractions Trail Mix recipes and providing trail mix for all of our 5th-grade students to enjoy. It was a huge hit and absolutely delicious! #SpringdaleFamily

Reminder! 🎉 Today is Spirit Day at Nothing Bundt Cakes, and they’re open until 6:30 PM. We are so grateful for these wonderful elves who delivered cakes for our teacher order this morning. Thank you for making our day extra sweet! 🍰✨

☀️ 5th Grade Science Spotlight! ☀️ Our 5th graders have been exploring the apparent brightness of the Sun through a Mystery Science rover investigation! 🚀 Students discovered that the Sun doesn’t change, its distance does. As the rover moved closer to or farther from the Sun, they observed how light appears brighter or dimmer based on distance. This hands-on investigation helped students build a deeper understanding of how light and energy travel through space. Curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific discovery were shining bright today! 🌟🔭 #SpringdaleFamily

Reminder: There will be NO ROAR this week. All students will be dismissed at 3:10 PM and will go home by car line, bus, or ASP. Students who are usually in ROAR will need to be picked up or ride the bus home.
