🎉 STEAMFEST is Almost Here! 🎉 We are so excited about our upcoming STEAMFEST on Thursday, October 23rd from 5:30–7:30 PM! To make this event even sweeter, we need your help collecting bags of candy. 🍬 ✨ As a thank-you, every student who donates a bag of candy will receive a special ticket to attend a dance party during the school day! Please send a bag of candy with your child to support our school and give them this fun opportunity. 🌟 Community Partner Spotlight: Apple Seeds 🌟 For over 15 years, Apple Seeds has been dedicated to educating and engaging children in the wonders of healthy food. 🥦🍎 Their mission is twofold: ✨ Increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables ✨ Empower young minds with the knowledge and skills to embrace a healthy lifestyle Through their innovative programs, Apple Seeds creates a positive environment where kids can explore and discover the world of nutritious foods. 💜 We are so excited to announce that Apple Seeds will be leading an interactive family cooking activity at our Fall Carnival STEAMFEST on Thursday, October 23rd from 5:30-7:30PM.👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 We are also thankful to continue our school-wide partnership with Apple Seeds into another great school year! 🌟 #SpringdaleFamily

🌟 This morning, our Wildcats were inspired by former Walker Wildcat, Mackenzie Scott, during a special assembly! Mackenzie was crowned 2025 America's Ideal Miss on July 26, 2025, in Arkansas. 🏆

Current Walker students enjoyed seeing pictures of Miss Scott from her time as a Walker Wildcat and hearing her story. As America's Ideal Miss, Mackenzie leads with integrity, inspires with kindness, and serves with purpose. 💙❤️

🌟 Community Partner Spotlight! 🌟 Today we kick off our Community Partner Spotlights as we count down to Walker’s Fall Carnival STEAMFEST — just ONE month away! 🎉 Our first highlight is MarShae’s Sweet Escape! 🍨✨ We are thrilled to share that they are bringing their nitrogen ice cream experience to our event! 🎟️ We have 150 tickets available, and students can earn priority registration for a ticket by receiving a PAW-sitive Office Referral. A huge thank you to Ms. Kimberly Hosey from the Shiloh Museum for bringing discovery boxes filled with artifacts of geology, fossils, and historical toys & games! Our 2nd graders had a blast and will continue exploring these treasures over the next couple of weeks✨ We’re thrilled the Shiloh Museum will also join us at STEAMFEST on Thursday, October 23rd, so our whole community can experience these amazing discovery boxes! #SpringdaleFamily

A special thank you to Suzanne Murphy from the Illinois River Watershed Partnership for engaging Mrs. Cebuhar’s 5th graders with an enviroscape today! 🌎💧 Students investigated different types of pollutants and made meaningful connections to the ways human actions impact our environment. They also began brainstorming ideas for a collaborative project where they will use science ideas to protect Earth's resources and environment. 🌱✨ #SpringdaleFamily

🌱 Our 5th graders dug deeper into their study of decomposers! Students explored how to conduct fair tests and experimented with different variables to see how they impact worm behavior. 🪱🔬 #SpringdaleFamily

Students learned about conducting safe and responsible research as they prepare to launch their passion projects. We can’t wait to see their creative visions come to life and are so grateful to our amazing NWA community for supporting our students' goals! #SpringdaleFamily

The monarchs are ready to begin their journey south for the winter! 🦋 A special thank you to Mrs. Peek for sharing these beautiful butterflies with us today! The joy our Wildcats felt releasing them was truly priceless. Join the Springdale community at the Monarch Flight Festival in Downtown Springdale next Saturday, September 20th, from 10AM–4PM. This free community event brings us together to honor the magic of the monarch migration! #SpringdaleFamily

Our 4th graders modeled traffic at intersections to explore what happens during collisions. They collected data on their observations and discussed how safety rules help prevent accidents and keep people safe. As part of their study on energy transfer, students connected real-world traffic scenarios to how energy moves between objects during a collision. #SpringdaleFamily

2nd grade engineers in action! Students designed and built supply cases that could securely hold five crayons. They tested their designs by dropping them to see if the cases stayed intact, applying the engineering process to solve a real-world problem. #SpringdaleFamily

Kindergarten engineers in action! Students designed and built shelters for their Lego people as they explored one of the basic needs of living things—shelter. Just like animals and plants need specific things to survive, shelter helps living things stay safe during harsh weather conditions. #SpringdaleFamily

Our 5th graders investigated decomposers in action through a worm lab, observing earthworms' behavior to explain how worms help break down organic matter. Students explored how matter is cycled through ecosystems as nutrients are returned to the soil to support new plant growth. #SpringdaleFamily
