The first half of Summer ROAR is in the books! Students were able to partake in lots of wonderful experiences like visiting Razorback Football Stadium and the University of Arkansas, the Air and Military Museum at Drake Field, Hobbs State Park, and the Amazeum in Bentonville! Thank you students, parents, and ROAR staff for an amazing first half, and we can't wait to see you again starting on July 6th!

Wednesday’s field trip will be to Hobbs State Park! Most students returned their permission slips today. If you have not already done so, please sign and return your child’s permission form as soon as possible. ⏰ Please be on time! We are scheduled to leave shortly after the program begins at 9:00 a.m. 🎒 Important items for tomorrow: • Backpack • Water bottle • Extra pair of shoes • Comfortable clothes • Optional: hat, rain jacket, and sunscreen 🚌 This will be an all-day field trip, and we plan to return by 2:00 p.m. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Families are welcome to join us if available. Due to limited space on the bus, family members will need to follow in their own vehicles. We are looking forward to a great day of learning and exploring! 😊

Session 2 of summer ROAR is Monday-Thursday next week from 9am-2pm with lunch and a snack. If you are a bus rider, please be ready for pick-up by 8:15 each day. Field trips are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, permission slips will go home on Monday and need to please be signed and returned on Tuesday. Comfortable clothes/shoes, backpack, and water bottle are recommended each day.

Tomorrow is the beginning of ROAR session 1. If your student signed up, they are registered. Bus riders be ready at 8:30am for pick-up. The front door will open at 8:45 for walkers and car riders. ROAR is from 9-2, Monday-Thursday with lunch and snack provided. Water bottles are needed each day. Your student will bring home two field trip forms that MUST BE RETURNED ON TUESDAY. Tuesday’s field trip will be to the University of Arkansas. Please try to wear red and/or something razorback. K-3 will go to Air and Military Museum Wednesday morning. 4-6 will go to Air and Military Museum Thursday morning. We look forward to seeing many wildcats tomorrow.

Instructions on how to make hummingbird food. Instructions state you need 1 cup of water, and 1/4th cup of white granulated sugar. Bring the water to a boil. Stir in the sugar until completely dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature.
