Today the Cross Country CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS at Sonora Middle School!!!! Students need to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their race times to check in and warm up.

Just a reminder that we do not have school tomorrow, Monday October 24th, This would be a great time to complete the family project assigned by the Springdale Fire Department to all 1st through 5th grade students.
The Springdale Fire Department asked each student to draw their fire escape route. This route is to be completed at home with parents and include a parent signature. Each route should also include an outdoor meeting place. One winner will be selected to ride to school in a fire truck.

Mr. Teague has joined the staff at Walker Elementary as the new Commissioned School Security Officer or CSSO which is a private security officer who:
(A) Provides security for the school; and
(B) Has received authorization issued by the director of Arkansas State Police to carry a firearm in the course of his employment
Mr. Teague is the lead for the west side elementary schools. When he is not at Walker, he will be out at other buildings with their CSSOs. Most of his time will be spent at Walker.
When you see him around, please give him a Walker Welcome and tell him thank you for choosing to serve in this position in order to keep our Wildcats safe!
